FITNESS CORRIDORS

Multi-use bike paths, parks, canal paths, powerline parks, and trails are Fitness Corridors.  Humans exercise differently when we are outside compared to indoor environments.  An hour on a stationary bike is different than a hour on a path uninterrupted by cars.  It is important for cities, towns, villages, and regions to interlink within their citizens and nearby communities.

Fitness Corridors are engineered to be safe at road crossings and expansive enough to accommodate larger numbers than traditional bike paths through city parks.   Fitness Corridors offer communities the option to grow in new ways.  And, these spaces can enhance a community's overall safety by being monitored for issues.

Any mile can be different from another section.  Communities are seeing both tangible and tacit benefits.  Fitness Corridors are available for art walks, student showcases, sculpture parks, environmental awareness, learning opportunities, and exercise classes to name a few of the ways that communities use the shared space.
